Starting the dig at Fromelles for Australian Diggers

The archaeological dig has started at Fromelles, in France to discover the remains of Australian and English soldiers – killed in the the battle.

They are searching for diggers believed to have been buried by German troops after the notorious battle of Fromelles in July 1916 when 5533 Australians were killed, wounded or taken prisoner in one night.
