Gandhi and the 7 Dangers to Human Virtue

Recently I wrote about Socrates Fundamental Principles – a point of view; see them here – http://bit.ly/qW3zgk

Here I am writing about a remarkable man … Mahatma Gandhi … with his profound wisdom and insight he produced the following list, the 7 dangers to Human Virtue.

7 Dangers to Human Virtue

  1. Wealth without work
  2. Pleasure without conscience
  3. Knowledge without character
  4. Business without ethics
  5. Science without humanity
  6. Religion without sacrifice
  7. Politics without Principle

We as a culture and a society fail in every single count. We need change in our society.. because we are not living in harmony, we are living, or trying to live alone … I coined the term “Social Intelligence” — a crowd sourced consciousness and intelligence

If we can somehow live the life for others, which of course means that others live their life for us .. what is wrong with that or we could encapsulate it by saying “If we all lived for others – sounds so great, as remember that means that others are living their life for you”

Remember what Martin Luther King Jr. said in 1955 …

“Christ gave us the goals and Mahatma Gandhi the tactics.”

Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.

I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for inexperienced blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

Hi … thanks for your comments … so far as your aspirations are concerned … For me .. and it is my personal view point only … I have been writing online for almost a decade … I feel people browse the internet and its quite amazing what one can find, but essentially they are looking for something real – something that has depth… I think the best advice I can give you is to speak on what you know … speak with a passion and a honesty … without any agenda … just to help to give advice on a subject or subjects you feel strongly about – If there is anything else you may need don’t hesitate to ask ! 🙂
