The State of a our Paradigm – 2014

June 8, 2014 Leave a comment

This has to be brief, as when you look at what is going on, one could fill a bookshelf …

Well since I wrote the last one in 2013 –  here –  a lot has happened …  I feel the paradigm is in it’s death throws, though those in power don’t know it yet, much could be ameliorated if only we would learn from history – even looking at the British even the Roman empires, but as Hegel said, one thing we can be sure of is that humanity never learns from history.

I feel that the problems are profound that beset this paradigm, half way through 2014 … much of it comes to the maturity of the paradigm, and the inability to see outside of the current beliefs .. except for some rare counties, like Iceland for instance … for most however the centralized command and control will disintegrate to transition, eventually to regional even community based priorities, I am not sure the change will be without issues, even assuming that Gaia herself, who is not passive as she is after all a life form, or should I say the pre-eminent life form, so far as we are concerned – our activity has taken her out of balance – hopefully she does not say enough is enough and issue an event on the world to get rid of the pesky humans … assuming she does not then we have a few problems that will come as a result firstly as the United States, withdraws from the world, leaving a power vacuum .. Which will be filled by the likes of Russia and China … however the contraction of the USA will have an effect on both Russia, whose major income source (in USD$) is energy (Oil and gas) and China manufacturing … both economies are at risk from a weakened and contracting America –  much of this relates to the USD$ itself (whilst it remains a reserve currency, which may also change) – worldwide, there will likely be a huge adjustment in global economies, where millions, perhaps hundreds of millions will be at risk.

Worldwide we are in a state of crisis, with those in Government being driven by fear as they run to control us … with the total invasion of the internet as detailed in the Snowden revelations .. through legislation, through money, through our beliefs, through manipulation by fear and scarcity, through blatant power .. the hang onto the past, the strangeness here is that they think they have the right to take these actions … this of course brings us to a whole new subject,  that of our underlying belief systems which is another post I am working on … mind you if we closely look at the basis of many beliefs, those which we have so far chosen to accept,  many are without foundation – but like every choice we are nationally and individually creating our future with it!

Governments further with a typical head in the sand approach from Politicians, denying what is happening all around us to the climate and continued pollution to the land, the water and the air we all breathe … meanwhile the still major driver at this stage of the paradigm, the USA is self destructing as consensus for a way forward cannot be reached, for my money, the main protagonists is the Tea Party, a section of religious fundamentalists,  who believe in the ideology of the bible .. but have little faith and zero love and compassion  (strange when Jesus said “love one another” ), for anyone including other Tea Party members as the organization is tribal in nature – appealing to the lowest common denominator of thinkers and those who believe in the America of old, mind you it is strange when you consider that the whole Tea party structure, although it originally began as a grass roots movement, in response to the Global meltdown, has been hi-jacked and is now running the agenda of Corporate America, under the visible guise of the Koch brothers, that at the very least.  Seriously, tell me what is the difference between the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Tea Party in the USA, that is beside the name – the desire to control women and their bodies is extreme ignorance … please note we have already had a time when the world was ruled by superstition, continuous warfare and religious ideology, it was a 1000 years ago and was called the dark ages for a reason.

The USA the hereto main driver of the world economies is financially compromised, still spending more money than it is earning, and more on defense that the next 10–15 countries combined .. strange when most of them are friendly .. I suppose because war and the weapons of war are a profit center – and of course a way to project the influence of the USA itself … Politically the US Government is incapable of passing any legislation to control Corporate power … such as making Corporations and individuals taxable on their entire world wide income .. because Corporate power is the true Government of the USA and indeed many other countries … I hope that the USA can find consensus and make the necessary changes in its priorities and ultimate direction as currently there is no will to do this, further examples such as with the EPA which knows that Fracking is a disaster as there is more than sufficient evidence, but is doing nothing .. visible .. both fresh water (essential for life) and land are polluted … similarly with GMO’s whose long term generational effects are unknown, is treating the whole population of the USA as Lab rats … sensibly some countries including Russia (which has a very large home grown food production base) which has made these genetically modified organisms illegal …  if GMO’s are so great why the huge campaign to stop the labeling of them on food supply –  that is surely what an open free and transparent Government would do … I am shaking my head here … does humanity have a death wish! … you have to wonder if these proponents of GMO food, are true believers and eat it, or it really is just about the money, power and control .. it would be interesting to see what is on their dinner plates.

Tensions break out all over the world in countries that are aggressive and fearful, this now includes a fearful America, and the thing that fear generates is aggression .. the use of drone strikes, disregards justice and the rule of law and the worst part is that it is now bureaucrats that decide who lives and who dies … I would not be surprised to one day see a drone strike within the USA – a desperate response from those in power to maintain control, even as the structure itself dies.

A cause of conflict in the future, may be centered on food and fresh water, so food sovereignty is a huge priority, second to that of course is fresh water … efficiency of food production is also an issue with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers confirming that up to 50% of all food never reaches a human stomach  see the link here – the full 36 page PDF Report is here

Where I live, the Government is also following the command and control paradigm into the abyss … just a step or two behind – mind you there is a huge amount of controversy and response from the people at the direction the Government wishes to head, so I am not sure how much will be implemented .. for I can foresee that the Prime Minister of Australia, will again be sacrificed for political survival of the party itself ..  really I’m not in favour of Political parties at all .. all representatives should be accountable only to those who elected them, no one else.

Change is one thing it seems, it is all pervasive as the world moves on, but acceptance of that change is clearly another thing, for Governments clearly have no idea of what to do, they are stuck with the greatest illusion, the one that says money has value, when it is just paper, backed by nothing more that the belief that it is has value – my old accountant Arthur told me that money is just squiggles on a piece of paper nothing more .. this will become abundantly clear after the next global financial meltdown, which will happen …  from which there will be no way back .. actually the planet and us will not survive unless the current economic system does fail.

Energy is the foundation of our society, it insulates us from the reality of climate and distance .. it powers transportation, refrigeration, heating and communications, everything in fact  … it is mission critical to our survival in our current numbers … while many are in agreement, that humanity in the current numbers and way of life, is a plague on the earth .. for the future will require us to seek balance with nature, renewable (only) energies, working with her to create a harmony – working from what we each need, not what we might want .. also by not trying to control her, so we can have an ideal way of life – we need to compromise.

The world should be running towards a totally renewable energy sources, with the total scaling back of non-renewable resources, such as oil  .. but it’s not … such a decision requires vision and foresight, and of course courage, something that most politicians do not have, as they are only looking at ways of being re-elected .. to say Politicians are out of touch with the average citizen is a true understatement.

I am thinking here of the quote by William Pitt, a former Prime Minister of Great Britain “Necessity was the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It was the argument of tyrants; it was the creed of slaves – William Pitt” – we see this every day in relation to “security services” – the supression of the independance of that media that is not control by the Corporates … in the USA, the Military / Industrial / Intelligence industries are in charge and of course the Patriot Act and other controls that are being placed on the freedom of ordinary citizens …  I have spoken before about the likelihood of civil unrest and possibly the cessation of an increasing number of States from the Union, even as far back as 2009 the prospect of Civil war in the USA … not sure that this is as likely anymore as many people are generally without hope, and distractions of the Gun debate, Blame, War, politics, gambling, the media, beer and sports are distractions and their world view is blatantly manipulated by the media and by Governments, who blame anyone but themselves and control through fear and scarcity … if however an event occurs, that triggers a confrontation between citizens and Government, then there is a huge amount of firepower available to Governments to “maintain order” – a that time the dream of freedom that was America will truly be dead and will be consigned to legend along with the legend of Arthur and Camelot … mind you a method of controlling citizens will work until the first soldier says no to killing an unarmed fellow citizen.

The once powerful middle class has been decimated and are scared of what is happening (of course)  those is power, who are at fault (of course) because of their inability to navigate the new circumstances will blame anyone but themselves (divide and rule), the current favorite, totally unjustifiably is that Politicians blame Americas woes on the homeless or the out of work, who are of course the most vulnerable in society, some states have it together, for instance Utah who has given homeless people a place to live, no strings attached … but elsewhere they are seeking to deny the issue of homelessness even exists by outlawing feeding these, the most vulnerable in a society, including children,  .. together with the recent revelations about the Veterans Administration, and their total inability to treat with honour those who fought for their country … my feeling about the future is guarded to say the least.

But there is hope, if we change what we value, to disregard the media and their manipulation driven by their Corporate owners and focus on our neighbours, decide and support what you value and disregard what you don’t … most importantly our local communities are where we should create.  Worldwide we should be looking to ourselves for survival, turning green spaces over to growing food, recycling and conserving water… .. truly it’s not that far away, I imagine, where we will be digging up parking lots to grow food – perhaps check out the Incredible Edible Todmorden a visionary free food project that has been replicated worldwide – http://bit.ly/1oEMO05 & http://bit.ly/1ih3ftR

It will be a little while yet, but we are definitely in transition from the old paradigm of conflict, command and control to one of love, collaboration, community, co-existence and communication .. and of course balance … let me be just one to say welcome! –  I hope we make it, I hope you make it, and I hope I make it as well … but the most important thing is that our children do.

By the very nature of this medium, this has to be an outline, not a point by point detailed exposse  .. but If you feel I have this wrong, please do not hesitate to contact me …

Hugs … Please have some Empathy and understanding for the lives of others – for everyone is doing their best they know how …

For me, what is real, comes down to Love, compassion, sharing and Kindness, for these are truly of value

The future is for us, to create together

Recently I commented on a blog … it was truly a refreshing wind blowing through the normally .. Sclerotic thought processes of the status quo … I liked the post, I think we can learn from it … I would like as many as possible to read it …

A comment I made on the post … I feel acts as a good introduction

I read many blogs each day, the majority offer criticism of what is .. with no developed alternative to suggest … here we see a way that normal people can break the current business as usual model … and create a real way forward at grass roots level, the writer of this blog post sees the problem clearly, for surely the essence of the failure of the current system is, Yes, competition is a good thing … but this focus of “killing” the competition leads to less competition, not more … and the Capitalist system only works when there is a lot of competition.

Instead, now we have ended up where power and control is increasingly being consolidated in few hands… and as history clearly shows consolidated power crushes liberty … there is no way for them to co-exist, and so democracy and freedoms are becoming a memory.

These same organizations where power is being consolidated have been driving us to “buy to consume” … Why ? … because they need us to, so they continue to exist … there is great wisdom and freedom in being free of debt … for when you are in debt, you are not only paying the debt with money, but also with your freedom.

Other aspects of this strategy, is that it supports like minded people and organisations. Also in the wider market, it gives Value driven support for small business, which allows them to grow and hence increase competition, and with the support of like minded organisations that are not driven just on price but on equity, relevancy and impact … it will succeed, this enhances choice.

At a community level, the exchange of produce to help each other is a great point to start with and perhaps over time, this may grow into community driven projects such as growing food, or (?), the great upside is that it gives purpose, and brings everyone together to help themselves and each other … this develops everyone involved, promotes community cohesion and purpose and lessens the likely hood that people will fall through the cracks.

This post makes sense as it is something that everyone can do today … to challenge and change the what is, to what it can be, for at the end of the day, if we all don’t do this who else will ?

The post is here it offers a critical point … but the need by business to kill the competition is flawed … for if business really understood the term collaboration and cooperation, there would be no reason for this kill or be killed belief, the trouble with killing the competition, is that it destroys not only the competition, but also competition itself and the capitalist model … think about it … for then if the model continues we end up with an effective monopoly, and if it continues to its ultimate conclusion, where business takes control of Government itself, fascism!!

Here my friends the future really is in our hands … we must create our own way … governments have shown themselves incompetent and incapable … so lets do it ourselves … ???

Any thoughts or comments are welcome …. or perhaps some thoughts at other topics to look at further ….

Gandhi and the 7 Dangers to Human Virtue

October 3, 2011 2 comments

Recently I wrote about Socrates Fundamental Principles – a point of view; see them here – http://bit.ly/qW3zgk

Here I am writing about a remarkable man … Mahatma Gandhi … with his profound wisdom and insight he produced the following list, the 7 dangers to Human Virtue.

7 Dangers to Human Virtue

  1. Wealth without work
  2. Pleasure without conscience
  3. Knowledge without character
  4. Business without ethics
  5. Science without humanity
  6. Religion without sacrifice
  7. Politics without Principle

We as a culture and a society fail in every single count. We need change in our society.. because we are not living in harmony, we are living, or trying to live alone … I coined the term “Social Intelligence” — a crowd sourced consciousness and intelligence

If we can somehow live the life for others, which of course means that others live their life for us .. what is wrong with that or we could encapsulate it by saying “If we all lived for others – sounds so great, as remember that means that others are living their life for you”

Remember what Martin Luther King Jr. said in 1955 …

“Christ gave us the goals and Mahatma Gandhi the tactics.”

MPAA and Film / TV Content Production and Distribution – the next 6-10 years

March 18, 2011 2 comments

My experience is in content production, distribution, Broadcasting & electronic Media.

Just doing some more research on the current “issue” or alleged issue of Piracy for the motion picture industry, which is primarily represented in the USA by the Trade Organisation the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America, http://www.mpaa.org).

Now until recently I was aware of the issue, but not of the financial details, now I am actually wondering if there even is a real issue, with the effect of the Global Economic Crisis being seemingly felt across every market segment imaginable, except the motion picture industry, which has according to their own figures had a 15% domestic increase and an International increase of 30% over the years between 2006 and 2010 … wow ! This despite the fact that the number of actual releases in theaters increased just 10.1%.

The price of the admission ticket, rose by 39.4% from 2001– 2010 and yet the cumulative cost of the CPI rose just 27.95% …. ?

OK all that aside …. the rise in the income 2008 –  2009 for theater sales can be expected, as if we go back to the depression, even in harsh economic times (because of the times in fact) the industry has been pretty much recession proof.  The major demographics for the audience goes from 12 to 39 year olds, it is a very niche audience which in these harsher than normal economic times seem to be the only ones that actually have any access to disposable income.

I could go on and on .. however the point is essentially this …. Yes there is a problem with Pirating ( a small one ), but it is not serious, how can it be when year on year the income from sales of theatrical releases has increased far in excess of the CPI … the figures for loss of income presented by the MPAA are not believable.

The following from the immediate past interim CEO, of the MPAA, Mr. Bob Pisano is basically unsubstantiated rhetoric, more commonly known as spin, how can there be a serious problem with over time the income to the industry has increased 30% … such statements as “We will continue to work with our industry partners to fight for common sense ways, through legislative, enforcement and legal avenues, to vigilantly protect the creativity at the heart of our industry from theft.” These kind of statements are making the industry look ridiculous, as well the U.S. Supreme court did rule that just copying did not constitute theft.

I do not agree with piracy, however, this mis-information, is on going and has not be substantiated, they are beat ups by what is essential a trade organisation with a big voice – these statements are not showing the industry in its best light … there are many other industries that employ far more people and families in the USA and worldwide … that actually are in serious and dire straits .. because they don’t have access to the Hollywood Media their voice is lost.  Many families on main street, also have no disposable income to currently invest in any sort of recreation, except free to air TV and maybe cable … remember cable, content on demand and it new variances will be the ever increasing choice for the distribution of content to the wider market.

There are a few issues that the MPAA and the industry in general needs to address… urgently

The price of tickets is not sustainable, bearing in mind that on top of these are the travel, parking, food etc .. taking your children is not the escape it used to be … I took my son to see Avatar at the local cinema and it cost one adult and one child over $40, not including parking, vehicle .. drinks etc…

The lack of growth is also a social one, and manifests as a result of the niche interests of the population, in their online lives – there will come a time, and it is not that far away where people will not go to the movies in anywhere near the same numbers, it is trending down in real terms and will continue to, for lots of reasons, some social, some concerning access, transport and financial to name just some, hopefully before then the studios will have come up with a way to reach people directly via Video Streaming in their lounge rooms, using the dreaded internet … this is here now – so change your business model or else basically … you have less than 5 years, probably less.  I wrote about the effects of technology on the film industry over 12 months ago, and it seems very much to be following the path and the time frame suggested then … in Australia with the NBN (National Broadband Network) this is supposedly designed to provide fibre access with data speeds from 100Mbps to 1 Gbps … this will have a major effect on  the access to On demand services including rich and video media content in Australia.

The Film industry, as with Television needs to start to make relevant stories that people will in the short term at least want to invest money in to go and see … perhaps the new business model is to make low budget movies that are truly an escape from the current meltdown and the huge pressures on families just to get by … but hopefully not too many more regurgitated sequels !!! – mind you that would not be too bad .. if they had a good story, as one can forgive just about anything if the writer and the Directors are at the top of their game –  unfortunately that is not the norm.

Also I have been saying this forever, content distribution is inseparable from content production … if you have funds you need to have been or will be investing in infrastructure for program distribution. The future will not be in venues as it is now, if you don’t now make these strategic investments or at least strategic partnerships, the future is going to be a difficult place as you are going to be a poor position at the bargaining table when it comes time to negotiation in 3–6 years …. because then you will have no distribution infrastructure that you influence, control or own.

Future distribution will not be by a Bricks and Mortar Theatrical release, ultimately the distribution will be in the form of data perhaps via a Peer to Peer network such as a Bit Torrent data stream, as explained in a previous article here  … think outside the box people .  Further the expansion of major releases will become a rarity, not the norm, and hopefully Hollywood will actually become a mature business instead of what it appears to be at the moment, an ego driven teenager with entitlement issues.

The uptake of new movies will have to have relevance to the actual market, talk to them, the real users, use the internet, that is its strength, where relationships and communities are the norm, not the exception .. also personally I am pretty tired of the predictability of the content coming out of Hollywood .. what about an original story please – also how about appealing to some level of standard and not the lowest common denominator.

To expand on the above via a personal observation, there are some unique and profoundly creative talents in the film industry, starting with unique writers that are true story tellers, their connection with the viewers illicit profound emotive responses, exceptional Directors with intuitive timing and insight, fantastic Cinematographers, gifted actors and support staff … with so much raw talent to draw from why is it so hard to put it all into an exceptional film that does not necessarily follow the prescribed formula … but that creates a real connection, and is not just some faded copy of a something that was once a profound original work.

Mainstream mass media including film, is normally a passive experience (except in the case of that true creative work), this mass media model also includes Newspapers, Radio, Cable / Satellite and terrestrial TV …. there is normally little to no  interaction with the viewer, that is not where we are going, the future will trend …. in the longer term your content will need to illicit a emotive response, or if you cannot create a masterpiece then at the very least, interactive ….ultimately the technology and the data speeds will materialize to make this a reality … unfortunately, the current trends for content is that it will come out of virtual sets, and actors as we understand them now may be a thing of the past, computer generation will be much more prevalent than it is even now.

Concerning the future distribution model, basically the Telco’s that currently own the fiber, need content just as much a you will need their fibre for distribution, however I guess if there is no successful negotiation, between you, then I guess content of the ilk of “I love Lucy” and “A Wonderful life” will be the only content … for distribution … funny that.

I realise that if I was again actively involved with the industry, that is back in the club, after a while, perhaps as little as three years, this type of objective perspective would be nearly impossible for me to create, as unfortunately those in the industry have an total inability to be objective and relate to their viewers, their users .. they are too busy doing, but doing what actually ? However a revelation will be forced upon the industry sooner or later, as they clearly don’t get it … change is here, recognise it, or suffer the inevitable changes that will be forced upon you, which you won’t like so much – it’s like I say “Change is the only constant, how we experience it, is up to us” ….

Bonuses – Banking and others

July 13, 2010 Leave a comment

Now with the European Union likely to legislate to specify how bonuses will be paid, for instance a large benefit is only able to have a 20% cash bonus… I am sure the affected people are even now re-structuring their pay to counteract this… perhaps by increasing the fixed component of the pay package…

In the United States it seems is not going to legislate, but issue guidelines… which I am sure that they will be bent, sidestepped and outright broken as a result.

However staying in the USA for a moment, something new has come to my attention…. a new basis for paying bonuses… as we know once of the companies, formerly a major casualty of the sub-prime fiasco and their own corporate greed at that time, has come up with what I believe is a solution… that Compensation for those who receive bonuses should be tied more closely to corporate debt rather than equity… what a resounding good idea, as well as responsible one… how unlike a Corporation.!

I am speaking here of AIG (American International Group) who announced that it will link incentive pay to the value of their insurer’s bonds.

This makes cowboy activities less likely, especially as a short term tactical strategy, and I hope this will turn the train around and move it back to responsibility not only to the company, the industry but also the shareholders – but also to the Corporate world in general.  I believe that these types of incentives protect the interest of bondholders and the ultimate value of the company… this will come to be a good strategy especially in uncertain times, and more particularly when a company’s solvency is in question.

Perhaps the rest of the world, particularly The European Union as well as all markets affected by this disease should take notice

Political reform – is a good idea

June 2, 2010 Leave a comment

I sometimes wonder if there any lights on upstairs in Canberra, it proves again how the politicians have no idea what the effect of their rants are in the real world or the effect of these pontificating of such impossible Taxes (Yes, let’s call it a tax, because if it looks like a tax, and sounds like a tax then ….).  This single proposal has the effect to take away our insulation from the effects of the global downturn, and the ongoing deficit problems not to mention deflation (which if it is by itself, may not be a bad thing in the long term).

As I mentioned before, you cannot dictate to companies of the size of BHP Billiton etc… without consequences…  this is a true multi-national… with projects and investments globally. Adding this tax will have an immediate effect on their viability (of their Australian operations). Australian coal, and Iron Ore etc are already amongst the most expensive in the world… they cannot increase the price (especially after the recent negotiations recently in China) – so they will focus their future focus outside of Australia which will mean less sales in the medium-long term, what is going to support the Australian dollar and the Australian economy then… Labour’s financial modeling? I don’t think so… but I am sure the Labour party will spin it so it is someone else fault… Politicians have a convenient short term memory, especially when it comes to their own mistakes.

Perhaps we should have some political reform;

(1) Ministers have to actually know something about their portfolios – now there’s a switch.

(2) End.. political careers (State, Federal & Political), there should be a limit of say 3 terms on any elected official or politician

(3) Politicians have to spend “x” years (successful) in the business / commercial world before their stint in Canberra

(4) Stop this favoritism for the Super funds for Canberra… after all it’s a temp job… like any other.

(5) Run the country like a company for the benefit of its shareholders / citizens, because you are dealing in people’s and their children’s lives as well as their future here – not to mention the countries future.

I always thought that the Labour dream team, financially were away with the pixies, and I think except for the pragmatism of Julia Gillard (she has to lose the “them and us mentality”, after all, she is a representative, not only of the Labour party but of ALL Australians…but I have hopes), they really are. I have never had a lot of economic respect for the ability of Swan who does have few innovative thoughts about the economy, but now Rudd has showed the flaws in his leadership style.

However, I am not prepared to swap the financial irresponsibility of the Labour party yet … because that would mean we would need to give the keys of the country to Abbott, and I see no upside there… but if the opposition actually do get a credible leader then all bets are off.

A brief view of the USA

April 8, 2010 Leave a comment

Currently with all the necessary hype, the compromises and the deal making, the United States Senate looks as though they will pass the unemployment support and Health assistant bills as per the following link from USA today… but again we come back to the essential problem that we have with the USA, if they were a person they would be accused of a felony as they are writing unfunded cheques.

Who owes the US debt ?  China, Saudi, Japan..!  I guess I have said enough.

With the disclosed long term liability of the USA sitting at in excess of Ten(10) Trillion dollars and the Un-disclosed amount , probably ten times this. The USA is in all sorts of a mess.

Currently instead of an lessening of the unemployment rate, we have the USA getting worse, see the figures below (an extract) and the link to the Wikipedia information here

European Union European Union 9.3 %

Burma Burma 9.40 %

India India 9.50 %

Croatia Croatia 9.60 %

Hungary Hungary 9.7 %

United Kingdom United Kingdom 7.80%

United States United States 9.70%

Russia Russia 9.9%

France France 10.0 %

So much for the USA doing something constructive to resolve their problems, instead of concentrating of the income issue and increasing the amount of money coming into the coffers by putting people back to work – they have spent untold billions writing cheques for programs they have no way of funding without going further into debt… and making the strategic policy of the USA subject to influences from Beijing, Tokyo and Riyadh.  Meanwhile, those people that have traditionally supported free enterprise (I am not talking about the Republicans here) and are working all the hours that are possible to create a income, find themselves being taxed into oblivion..

Not only now, has main street paid the money to support the generosity to banks and corporate America (without it seems, any conditions) – now the disposable income, increasing the likely hood of unemployment becomes real to millions of Americans – but what are the consequences on the children… do they get the vocational or scholastic education they need to drive the USA back to a semblance of their former self, or will the USA make the mistake (if they haven’t already) of becoming a third world country.  The one measure of this in my view is the focus of the country on educating its citizens – currently too many people world wide have few prospects of employment. However at least it may stop the movement of jobs overseas to China and India… Yes I know, I don’t really believe that myself.

Because the real issue in the USA is the short term focus of the corporate culture, that they only think in 3 month chunks, they have no long terms view, therefore they are not investing in the future, by investing now.

More to come soon… or why there will be another financial crisis…  unless we actually do something to regulate the banking and finance sector.. many countries have, those that did, do not feel the effects of this ongoing financial crisis that we are experiencing…
